For a while, every new bottle tip I read felt urgent. I changed where the bottles dried, how the parts were grouped, the order we assembled them, and what we packed for an ordinary outing.
None of the changes were dramatic on their own. Together, they made our routine harder to remember—and made everyone else afraid of doing it the wrong way.
Too much advice made me less confident
I kept comparing our ordinary kitchen to polished routines online. If another parent used a different system, I assumed ours needed fixing.
The result was a counter full of half-tested ideas and caregivers asking which version we were using that day.
I returned to the product manual
I wrote down the model names, matched each set of parts, and kept only the steps required by the manufacturer. Then I added one household preference at a time.
That distinction helped: product instructions stayed fixed, while our storage and timing could remain flexible.
One change at a time became enough
Now, when I find an interesting tip, I ask whether it solves a real problem in our home. If it does, we test one change for several days instead of redesigning everything.
The routine is not impressive. It is repeatable—and that has made it calmer for everyone.
What I kept
- The exact model manuals.
- Parts grouped by bottle family.
- One agreed assembly order.
- Permission to ignore tips we do not need.
